Larazotide 1mg (30 Capsules)

Larazotide acetate is an investigational oral peptide designed to regulate intestinal epithelial tight junctions. Research has primarily focused on its potential to reduce gluten-related intestinal and gastrointestinal effects in people with celiac disease.

Fields of Study

  • Intestinal epithelial barrier function
  • Tight-junction regulation and assembly
  • Paracellular intestinal permeability
  • Zonulin-associated signaling pathways
  • Gliadin-induced intestinal barrier disruption
  • Celiac disease
  • Tight-junction proteins including ZO-1, occludin and claudins
  • Actin cytoskeleton and epithelial junction organization

Store refrigerated at 2–8°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep the container tightly closed and avoid excessive temperature cycling.

Shelf Life: 2 years from manufacturing date, provided proper storage recommendations are followed.

Supports intestinal barrier function: Larazotide has been studied for its ability to help regulate tight-junction activity and limit excessive paracellular passage across the intestinal epithelium.

May reduce gluten-related GI symptoms: Clinical trials in people with celiac disease found that certain doses, including 1 mg, reduced gastrointestinal symptoms during controlled gluten exposure.

May reduce gluten-associated immune activation: In one randomized trial, the 1 mg group had a lower increase in anti-tissue-transglutaminase IgA compared with placebo during gluten challenge.

Locally acting: Larazotide is designed to act within the intestinal tract rather than producing substantial systemic exposure.
